Voting for Councillor Ward 2 on November 13, 2024 Regina Municipal Elections

Regina municipal election is November 13, 2024. It is the day when we will elect Reginas Mayor, Councillors and School Board Trustees. Elect Dr. Chidi Igwe as your next Councillor for Regina Ward 2, which is Harbour Landing and Albert Park.

Where to Vote

There are three places you can vote in Ward 2:

  • Dr. A. E. Perry School, 93 Lincoln Drive
  • Home Inn and Suites, 4801 Harbour Landing Drive
  • École Harbour Landing School, 4419 James Hill Road

Who Can Vote?

You can vote on November 13 if you meet the following criteria:

  • You are a Canadian citizen and at least 18 years old on Election Day.
  • You have lived in Saskatchewan for at least six consecutive months.
  • You are a resident of Regina or have owned assessable land within the municipality for at least three consecutive months.

Voters must cast their ballot in the Ward and public school board subdivision where they reside or own assessable land.

What You Need to Vote

When voting, bring one of the following:

  • A government-issued photo ID showing your name and address. OR
  • Two pieces of ID: one showing your name and the other showing both your name and address.

How to Register as a Voter

You can register online before October 22, 2024 for both the Municipal/School Board Election and the Provincial Election at once! You can register or update your information on the Elections Saskatchewan website to speed up the voting process. If you voted in the last provincial election, you are already registered.

Use the Elections Saskatchewan website to verify your current address and email to ensure you receive your voting information electronically.

Registering ahead of time ensures a smooth voting experience, but remember, eligible voters can also register in person at their polling station on Election Day.

Ways to Vote

There are a few different ways to vote:

  • Regular Polls: Polls are open on Election Day, November 13, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Free transit is available on Election Day.
  • Advance Polls: Vote early at Advance Polls from November 1 to 4. Learn more about locations across the city. A drive-through polling station will also be available at City Hall during this time. Click here to see the list of places you can vote in a advance. The closest in Ward 2 is polling number 35D, South Leisure Centre, 170 Sunset Drive, open November 1-4, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Mobile Polls (Vote in Residence): If you are unable to visit a polling station due to disability or limited mobility, you can apply for a representative to come to your residence between November 1 and November 13. Apply by Tuesday, October 22.
  • Special Polls: Voters in hospitals, senior centers, or special care facilities can vote at Special Polls stations.
  • Mail-in Ballots: Apply to vote by mail. Applications can be submitted online, by email, mail, fax, or in person at the Election Office. Your ballot must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day to be counted.
