I will help to channel a new direction that responds to the aspirations of Ward 2 residents in terms of reducing the gap between property tax, utility rates and the actual services provided by the City, affordable housing, road maintenance, garbage removal, snow removal, safe and vibrant community, and economic prosperity.
I moved to Regina in 2003. I’ve been living in Ward 2 since 2014, and have a good understanding of the challenges facing our community. I am committed to listening to you to understand how these issues affect you directly.
I’m a teacher/an educator, public and community servant, husband, and father of five. I hold a Master’s degree from the University of Regina and PhD from Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia.
I have more than 20 years of professional, volunteer, and public service experience, including 18 years as a lecturer and assistant professor at the University of Regina, 6 years in Government of Saskatchewan, with experience in areas covering education, trade and export development, immigration and career training, and energy and resources.
I will work to see Regina remain vibrant, improve safety and well-being, drive prosperity, and sustainable environment.
I invite you to visit my website, www.chidi.ca to find more information regarding some of the areas where I think I can do a better job for Regina Ward 2.
Together, let's build a better Ward 2 and a stronger Regina.
