My name is Dr. Chidi Igwe. I ask for your support in electing me as your next Councillor for Regina Ward 2. The municipal election is on November 13th, 2024, and there is a lot at stake.

I will help to channel a new direction that responds to the aspirations of Ward 2 residents in terms of reducing the gap between property tax, utility rates and the actual services provided by the City,affordable housing,road maintenance,garbage removal,snow removal,safe and vibrant community, andeconomic prosperity.
I moved to Regina in 2003. I’ve been living in Ward 2 since 2014, and have a good understanding of the challenges facing our community. I am committed to listening to you to understand how these issues affect you directly.
I’m a teacher/an educator, public and community servant, husband, and father of five. I hold a Master’s degree from the University of Regina and PhD from Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia.
I have more than 20 years of professional, volunteer, and public service experience, including 18 years as a lecturer and assistant professor at the University of Regina, 6 years in Government of Saskatchewan, with experience in areas covering education, trade and export development, immigration and career training, and energy and resources.
I will work to see Regina remain vibrant, improve safety and well-being, drive prosperity, and sustainable environment.
