Israeli forces have carried out intensified airstrikes on sites and infrastructure inside Iran, including the reported killing of Iran’s navy chief who oversaw operations in the Strait of Hormuz, officials confirmed Wednesday.
An Air Canada Express jet collided with a Port Authority fire rescue vehicle while landing at New York’s LaGuardia Airport late Sunday night, resulting in the deaths of both pilots and injuries to dozens of passengers and emergency personnel.
The CRJ-900, operated by Jazz Aviation for Air Canada Express, had arrived from Montreal and was carrying 72 passengers and four crew members when it collided with a fire truck during landing.
Speaking to reporters, Trump said the United States had held what he described as “very good and productive conversations” with Iran and suggested that both sides had identified “major points of agreement” toward what he called a possible “complete and total resolution” of the conflict.
