Where and When to Vote in Regina Ward 2 Municipal Elections

On Election Day, November 13, 2024, polls will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Make sure to cast your vote within this time frame!

Where to Vote

There are 3 polling stations in Ward 2. Based on your address, you can vote at any of these locations:

  • Dr. A. E. Perry School: 93 Lincoln Drive
  • Home Inn and Suites Regina Airport West: 4801 Harbour Landing Drive
  • École Harbour Landing School: 4419 James Hill Road

Ways to Vote

Elections Regina provides several voting options:

  • Regular Polls: On Election Day, November 13, polls are open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Free transit will be available throughout the city on Election Day to help you get to the polls.
  • Advance Polls: Advance Polls (early voting) will be open on November 1, 2, 3, and 4. There will also be a drive-through polling station available at City Hall during this period. Click here to see the list of places you can vote in a advance. The closest in Ward 2 is polling number 35D, South Leisure Centre, 170 Sunset Drive, open November 1-4, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Mobile Polls (Vote in Residence): If you have a disability or limited mobility, you can apply for a Mobile Poll, where a representative will come to your residence to assist you in voting. Mobile Polls are available from Friday, November 1, to Wednesday, November 13. You have to apply by Tuesday, October 22.
  • Special Polls: Voters in hospitals, senior centers, or special care facilities can participate in Special Polls, making it easier to cast their votes.
  • Mail-in Ballots: Any eligible voter can apply to vote by mail. Applications can be submitted online, via email, by mail, fax, or in person at the Election Office. To ensure your vote is counted, your mail-in ballot must be received by the Elections Regina Office before 8 p.m. on Election Day.

Voter Identification

When you head to the polls, youll need to bring identification to verify your identity and address. You can choose one of the following options:

  • A government-issued photo ID that displays both your name and address. OR
  • Two pieces of government-issued ID: One that shows your name. Another that shows both your name and address.

Acceptable forms of identification include those issued by the Government of Canada, the Government of Saskatchewan, a municipality, or a government agency. Make sure your ID meets these criteria to ensure a smooth voting process. Click here for a list of acceptable IDs.

How to Register as a Voter

For your convenience, you can register for both the Municipal/School Board Election and the Provincial Election at the same time! This makes the voting process quicker and more efficient.

  • Online Registration: You can register or update your voter information on the Elections Saskatchewan website by October 22. Being registered ahead of time makes voting faster and more convenient.
  • Already Registered? If you voted in the last Provincial Election, youre already in the system. However, its important to ensure that your address is up to date. You can also update your email address at the link above to receive your voting details electronically.
  • In-Person Registration: If you miss the October 22 deadline, dont worry! You can still register by filling out a registration form (coming soon) and submitting it to the Elections Regina office by email, mail, fax, or in person. Alternatively, you can bring the completed form with you when you go to vote at the polls.

Registering ahead of time ensures a smooth voting experience, but remember, eligible voters can also register in person at their polling station on Election Day.
